Abstract

The article in question aims to discuss and analyze the importance of Gothic architecture as a symbol of a religious revolution, seeking to understand its representation in the history of the medieval West with greater proportions and meanings, ranging from the revolution in the way of building the churches to the change of the mentality of medieval society through the transmission of a philosophical message, propagated by gothic architectural style. Its appearance, therefore, is closely associated with the development of cities in the period of the Early Middle Ages.
