A review of the performance and physical characteristics of carbon stripper foils made by the glow discharge process

Abstract

A review is given of production methods, irradiation behaviour and lifetime and some physical characteristics of glow discharge foils prepared and tested at a number of laboratories. Results are summarised of hydrogen content determinations and of crystallographic studies of irradiated and non-irradiated materials.
