Abstract

River-sea combined transport complies with the mode of the world's economic and social pursuit by its low energy consumption, low emission and minimal unit transportation cost. Putting into Diamond Model the basic conditions, factors and bottlenecks, strategy and rivalry, related and supporting industries, opportunities and government polices, this paper puts forward the general strategies of breaking administrative boundary, giving priority to planning, regulating along river, forming sea-river-land alliance, and balancing competition and cooperation.
