BUILDING HEADWORD LIST AND PLANNING ENTRY IN VIETNAMESE - KHMER, KHMER - VIETNAMESE BILINGUAL DICTIONARIES

Abstract

Macrostructure and microstructure are the backbones of a dictionary, by which the processes of compiling headwords and planning a dictionary entry have to be conducted systematically. By adaptingsignificant remarksfrom previous works and modifying some limitations of the existing Khmer - Vietnamese bilingual dictionaries, this article aims at pinpointing some issues related to compiling bilingual entry on the basis of Khmer and Vietnamese linguistic features as well as itspurposes, audiences, space and compiling time bound.
