Abstract

Mehmet Akif Ersoy takes the social benefit as a basis in his understanding of art due to the conditions of the period. The benefit in question is based on an awareness-based basic principle in Akif’s art. Awareness is an indispensable part of Akif’s movement and action-oriented artist temperament. The poet who is above consciousness is ready to give this consciousness to the order of the society. The poetry of Akif, which carries the society to its works in all aspects, contains errors, problems and suggestions for solutions.
