Abstract

We propose a new Kalman filter structure for joint equalization of ultra-fast RSOP, large PMD and residual CD, which provides excellent performance for PMD (> 200ps), RSOP (up to 3Mrad/s) and residual CD (∼ ±820ps/nm).
