Retrospective analysis of 10 cases of ocular torticollis

Abstract

Objective To explore the identification and treatment of muscular torticollis and ocular torticollis by analyzing the surgical misdiagnosed cases of ocular torticollis. Methods Ten cases of superior oblique palsy patients were analyzed in our hospital from July 2013 to December 2016.Ophthalmic surgery was performed on all10 patients. Results Ten cases of congenital superior oblique palsy patients which4 patients of right superior oblique palsy, 6 patients of left superior oblique palsy. Five patients with inferior oblique resection, 5 patients with inferior oblique transposition, and correct horizontal strabismus during the same period, 10 patients with torticollis were all improved in different degrees. Conclusions The different causes of torticollis are treated by different methods.In order to avoid delay treatment, and bring patients unnecessary pain and economic losses, we should identify the muscular torticollis and ocular torticollis.
