Abstract
The joint carrier frequency and two-dimensional direction of arrival (2D-DOA) estimation is a significant problem for radar and communication systems. With the development of information technology, the spectrum of signal is wider and wider, but the effective occupied bandwidth is narrower. The traditional sampling methods based on Shannon-Nyquist theorem bring great pressure to sampling and storage devices. In this paper, a new joint carrier frequencies and 2D-DOAs estimation method is proposed. The transmissions received and sampled by a L-shape delay arrays architecture based on modulated wideband convertor (MWC) system. The estimation algorithm is based on the CANDECOMP/PARAFAC (CP) decomposition method, no additional parameter pairing steps are required. Simulation results verify that the proposed method can estimate the carrier frequencies and 2D-DOAs from sub-Nyquist samples.
