Database of the French Regiments

Abstract

В статье описывается научная база данных полков и отдельных частей вооруженных сил Франции с 1660 по 1914 гг., созданная в рамках проекта «Руниверс» по военной истории. База состоит из нескольких таблиц и включает в себя список всех полков, их состав, штатную численность, а также ежегодные данные о дислокации и участии в кампаниях. В связи с изменениями названий воинских частей, каждому полку присвоено техническое название, под которым он значится в таблицах. Для точного обозначения данного полка на выбранную дату имеется отдельная таблица, которая позволяет увидеть, как и когда воинская часть меняла свое название. Таблицы также содержат сведения о штатной численности и составе воинских частей (количество батальонов или эскадронов в его составе), участию полков в военных кампаниях и дислокация полков по годам. The article describes the scientific database of regiments and individual units of the French armed forces from 1660 to 1914, created as part of the Runivers project on military history. The database consists of several tables and includes a list of all regiments, their composition, staffing, as well as annual data on deployment and participation in campaigns. Due to changes in the names of military units, each regiment has been assigned a technical name, under which it appears in the tables. For the exact designation of this regiment on the selected date, there is a separate table that allows you to see how and when the military unit changed its name. The tables also contain information about the staffing and composition of military units (the number of battalions or squadrons in its composition), the participation of regiments in military campaigns and the deployment of regiments by year.
