Abstract

Plane wave scattering by a dielectric slab on which has been etched an infinitely periodic metamaterial grating is analyzed by means of semi-analytical integral equation techniques. The grating slab's operation as a frequency filter as well as the effect of the grating's parameters on the diffracted fields are investigated for a grating composed of an epsilon-near-zero (ENZ) material.
