A secondary aim was to examine whether direct and indirect effects among these variables were moderated by social support. A sample of 204 Latinx immigrants completed questionnaires in community centers, health clinics, and retail establishments. Depression was found to mediate the effect of discrimination on physical health. Social support was found to moderate this indirect effect, wherein higher levels of social support weakened the effect.
