Localization of the spectrum of the eigenvalue problem nonlinear in the spectral parameter

Abstract

An approach which enables one to localize the spectrum of some classes of eigenvalue problems nonlinear in the spectral parameters is proposed and proved. The application of the proposed approach to some test examples is described.
