Introduction: The diagnosis of a disease such as cancer in a child, supposes for the parents an experience of shock and impact. Objectives: to reflect, by means of a bibliographic search, on the experiences and feelings that parents with children suffering from cancer have, as well as how to improve the humanization of care and the usefulness of qualitative research.
