Abstract

In this paper, a low-cost procedure for dimension scaling and tuning of microwave filters is proposed. Our approach relies on an inverse model that outputs the filter dimensions for the required center frequency and bandwidth. The model is constructed using several reference designs obtained using surrogate-assisted optimization exploiting a response feature methodology. The initial approximation of the scaled filter design is subsequently corrected using a fast feature-based tuning procedure.
