Sodium lauryl sulfate in relation with aphthous ulcer

Abstract

A lesion or sore on the skin or mucous membrane caused by the progressive destruction of underlying epithelial tissue is referred to as an ulcer. An ulcer may spread deeper into the skin or into various underlying tissues. In this article, there is a brief explanation on sodium lauryl sulfate used in dentifrices as foaming agent acts as triggering factor on recurrent aphthous ulcer.
