One-dimensional ground response analysis is mainly performed using linear (L) and equivalent linear (EQL) method. The interesting feature of this method is its possibility to evaluate, directly, the response spectrum of a soil profile at the surface, without the need of using the power spectral density or the Fourier amplitude spectrum.
