Abstract

A variety of strategies were used to study the best ways to remove pollutants from water, whereupon it turned out that sorption techniques are among the most effective and economically viable processes. Due to numerous applications, including the removal of dyes from wastewater by sorption method, layered double hydrox-ides (LDHs) have been extensively investigated in recent times. Several features of LDHs, such as the ability of anion exchange, tunable structure and high specific surface area make them highly efficient sorption materials and suggest LDHs for water purification. Methyl orange has been used as a model pollutant in most studies of the sorption properties of LDH, as a result of its widespread use.
