In this sense, the design and implementation of effective psychological training programmes to optimise the best performance of athletes is fundamental for the development of the psychologist’s work. The aim of this research was to analyse the psychological intervention and training programmes that have been carried out on performance athletes. The interventions implemented are varied, although they are mainly cognitive-behavioural in nature, although others such as acceptance and commitment therapy and new techniques such as mindfulness are also used.
