Abstract

Bacteriophages were isolated from raw sewage and selected based on the size and clarity of plaque that were formed. The selected phages were further enriched and purified. The isolated bacteriophages were found to be able to lyse Pseudomonas aeruginosa isolate from raw sewage. The virulent bacterial viruses of Pseudomonas aeruginosa were found to be of widespread occurrence in nature Bacterial viruses were applied to control pathogenic bacteria in different fields and successfully.
