Integrated needling protocol: combining traditional Chinese technique with tubes and needles

Abstract

Chinese acupuncture needling technique is traditionally free hand. Most Western practitioners, especially after the introduction of clean needle technique, needle using tubes. This article proposes a new needling protocol that combines the best of Chinese needling technique with tubed needles, efficient use of both hands to locate and prepare points, and strictly follows clean needle technique.
