Abstract
Covalently bound self-assembled monolayer of a functional molecule 3,4,9,10-perylene tetracarboxylic acid(PTA) was prepared on hydroxyl-bearing surfaces via a convenient ester-bond linkage.The resulting self-assembled PTA monolayer was well characterized by contact angle measurements,UV-visible spectroscopy,and electrochemistry cyclic voltammetry.For PTA monolayer prepared on ITO electrode, the photoelectric conversion property was also studied by photoelectro-chemical measurements.
