Abstract

Wind energy is a important renewable energy resource which has the potential to contribute significantly towards electric power generation in the coming years. Due to the location of these resources and their intermittent nature, issues regarding integration of this green energy into the power grid are becoming more and more important. Wind power plants integration into the electric power system presents challenges to power system planners and operators.
