The Role of Personality in the Development of Courts and Punishment Enforcement Bodies in Russia in the Second Half of the XIX — Beginning of XX Centuries

Abstract

The article is devoted to certain representatives of the Russian judicial chambers of the second half of the 19th — early 20th centuries. For many years they served in the post-reform courts, implemented the democratic principles of justice, demonstrated an active life position, a dedication to their duties, and set a worthy example for other judges. The article also characterizes the actions of individual representatives of the Russian society, who have made a significant contribution to the development and improvement of the activities of punishment enforcement bodies.
