Abstract

A diode-pumped mode-locked Yb:CALGO laser operating at 26.9 MHz repetition rate was demonstrated using a telescopic configuration. Without any external pulse compression, a pulse width of 91 fs was obtained directly at the oscillator output with 750 mW of output power. The corresponding pulse energy was 27.9 nJ and the peak power reached 306 kW.
