The purpose of this study was to compare the compounds component profile of herb pegagan from several growing areas in South Sulawesi with fingerprint analysis using FTIR. The Samples used were from 9 regions of South Sulawesi, namely Toraja (Karua, Tondon, Sadan), Luwu (Batusitanduk, Lamasi, Walenrang), Makassar (Mangga 3, Tamalanrea, Moncongloe). Based on the results obtained were relatively the same spectrum results from 9 types of samples and infrared spectroscopy measurements combined with chemometric, group 1 (Karua, Mangga 3, Batusitanduk, Walenrang) and variable areas of group 2 (Tondon, Tamalanrea, Lamasi, Moncongloe) have 95.83% similarities. While the similarity of the regional variable profile of groups 1 and 2 when compared with the regional variable of group 3 (Sadan) has a similarity of 85.42%. Centella asiatica L. is the plant most widely used as a folk remedy traditional medicine to cure various diseases. The efficacy and quality of a natural medicine depend on the chemical composition contained in it.
