I read about Dr. Matina Horner's study of Radcliffe women last winter I was instantly intrigued.1 The study concluded that intelligent undergraduate women tend to lose their career aspirations as they go through college. I had come to similar conclusions for a couple of reasons. Four of my close friends at Princeton had been married the previous spring.
