Abstract

L'A. analyse l'evolution du lexique dans les medias a la fin du 20 e siecle aux Etats-Unis : des mots tabous faisant reference a des parties du corps ou a des groupes ethniques sont de plus en plus utilises ; on peut alors s'interroger sur l'attitude des lexicographes a l'egard de ce nouveau vocabulaire et sur le statut qui lui est attribue. Il s'interroge egalement sur le statut des mots argotiques ayant trait aux groupes ethniques dans un contexte social cherchant a se montrer politiquement correct
