Ferroptosis and Oxidative Stress in Hepatic Cellular Carcinoma

Abstract

Hepatic cellular carcinoma (HCC) is one of the most prevalent cancers worldwide, whose mortality rate continues to increase by about 2%~3% per year. Oxidative stress (OS) refers to the production of a large amount of superoxide inside the body when the organism cells are exposed to ex-ternal stimuli, such as singlet oxygen (1O 2 ), hydrogen peroxide (H 2 O 2 ), superoxide anions ( 2 O − ),
