Most of the contributions are in English, the minority are in French, and a few are in German. The introduction is a moving homage by E. B. Streiff to the late Hermenegildo Arruga. Arruga was not only an immediate pupil of Gonin but was regarded as his main strategist for the South of Europe, while Weve of the Netherlands fulfilled the same function in the North. This is followed by an obituary by Prof Meyer-Schwickerath for the late ex-secretary of the Club, Dr Rene Dufour, who for many years was one of its moving spirits.
