Abstract

This progress report provides an update on the recent advancements SMPTE’s Rapid Industry Solutions (RiS) initiative, focusing on the On-Set Virtual Production (OSVP) and Open Services Alliance (OSA) programs. The report highlights key developments in the OSVP program, including the Interoperability (InterOp) and Education Working Groups, as well as the initiation of the Catena Working Group under the OSA pillar. These programs aim to enhance integration, interoperability and interpretability, and security in virtual production environments and service-based applications.
