Diferenciación sexual y diferenciación social: su importancia en las variaciones morfológicas de los retratos de la Tumba Tebana 49, Egipto

Abstract

On the wall decoration of Theban Tomb 49, its owner, Neferhotep, is represented together with other social actors displaying different activities during his earthly life and in his posthumous projection. It is expected that some of these visual expressions are very similar to reality, while others fit a potential recreation of future situations, once Neferhotep was dead. We wonder if there is any kind of differentiation in the shape of the representations that allows identifying the portrayed people individually or if the social groups involved in burial rituals are the focus of the paintings.
