Diseño de un ambiente de aprendizaje para fortalecer la escritura del idioma inglés en secundaria

Abstract

The objective of the research is to analyze the influence of a cooperative learning environment, through the use of Information and Communication Technologies to strengthen basic English writing skills in first-grade high school students. The unit of analysis was made up of 115 students aged between 11 and 13 years. The research approach was qualitative, through an ethnographic design with a descriptive scope, applying observation, survey, and focus group instruments. Within the learning environment designed in five sessions, the strengthening of language skills in students is observed as a result, allowing them to organize short sentences by using grammatical resources in a cooperative way. In conclusion, it is evidenced motivation in students to learn to work in a team, exploring communication skills through interaction in the creation of short texts, strengthening language skills by means of interactive tools found on the Web such as Jigsaw, Pow Toon, Duolingo, Lino it.
