Reflections on supporting the resilience of a social care workforce through an ACT-based intervention

Abstract

The Suffolk Family Focus Psychology Service have evaluated an ACT-based group to support resilience of the Suffolk County Council’s Children and Young Peoples’ Service workforce. This paper shares reflections on the challenges of setting up, running, and evaluating such a group, discusses the construct of ‘resilience’ in Social Care and thinks about the implications for future interventions and research.
