As one can already understand, Aleksandravičius’ book is characterized by its multilayered nature. By telling the story of Valdas Adamkus (which, according to the author, is deserving of a biography even if he had not become president of Lithuania), the author opens a window to a deeper understanding of backstage post-Soviet politics. Thus, a biography of one person could also be read as a study of political anthropology. The book will be interesting not only for professionals, but for all those who want to get to know the man of impressive fate and amazing activity: the President of Lithuania, Valdas Adamkus, a true Lithuanian hero.
