Abstract
It is often stated that no two engineers will set up an industrial X-ray computed tomography (CT) scan with the same parameters. In this article, an orderly set of steps is presented that will lead to an acceptable CT scan result for typical cone beam (volumetric) systems with application to denser and/or larger objects. This approach can be applied when using minifocus, mesofocus, and microfocus X-ray tubes.
