Liv, død – evig liv

Abstract

The article addresses issues concerning life, death and eternal life. Traditional pre-modern religious and more modern secular and religiously linked views are examined. Prophecies that death and question of eternal life can change under future social conditions is sketched. A reading of Immanuel Kant and critical reflection related to Neo-Kantian positions, such as Paul Natorp, operates as the philosophical foundation of the article. Critical reflections related to presentations made by Truls Wyller and Manuel Castells are also discussed. The article is inspired by the presentation of time and death as phenomena published in an article in NFT by Wyller (2018).
