HUNGRÍA: TREINTA AÑOS DE DEMOCRACIA

Abstract

The study deals with the political history of Hungary of  the past thirty years from the viewpoint  of comparative aspects. It analyses the characteristic features of the Hungarian political transitition, particularly the events of the marvellous and fascinating year of 1989. It examines the change of system, the constitutional process, the transformation of political and party-system in the mirror of general elections, European Parliamentary elections and referendums.  It surveys the tendencies of the development of the Hungarian political system and institutional consequences of joining of Hungary to the European Union.
