Abstract

Rift Valley Fever (RVF) is a serious life-threatening disease with severe clinical manifestations and health consequences for humans and a wide range of domestic animals. In September 2000, a RVF outbreak was reported in Jazan region south-west Saudi Arabia with 886 human cases including 124 deaths.
