La presencia de informaciones relacionadas con la religión católica en la prensa española

Abstract

This research focuses on the treatment given to the contents related to the catholic religion by the Spanish general information newspapers. The methodology used is the analysis of content. The thematic areas are quantified, analyzed, and the treatment carried out by the aforementioned newspapers is compared. The results confirm the importance of the figure of Pope Francis, as well as the predominance of informative texts with a predominantly negative focus, emphasizing topics such as corruption, the Vatican and finances.
