The area under study is one of the oldest and largest informal settlements in Amman, the capital of Jordan. Results revealed that both the community and the government agencies must share the service areas. In addition, the municipality has to provide access to underserved people. Abstract

This research examines challenges in collecting household solid waste in highly populated inaccessible neighbourhoods.
