DOI: 10.1097/SGA.0000000000000512 Nausea and vomiting can be associated with numerous clinical conditions including infectious diseases, mechanical bowel obstructions, visceral factors, central nervous system disorders, drugs, and systemic conditions (Hasler & Chey, 2003; Prashant, Sonia, & Braden, 2016). In addition, bowel obstruction caused by tumors can be an important underlying cause of persistent vomiting, particularly in elderly patients. Bile duct dilatation is a clinical condition resulting from numerous pathologies including calculus, biliary tract and pancreatic malignancies, periampullary tumors, primary sclerosing cholangitis, parasitic infections, and portal biliopathy. In addition, it may also occur secondary to bowel
