Abstract

Trees have been integral to cities for centuries. Their tangible and intangible benefits for human and environmental systems are particularly evident in times of crisis. As cities grow and adapt to climate change, historical, scientific, and practical expertise are needed to ensure equal access to urban trees and their benefits.
