The present study is based on a thorough search, and provides reliable information about children who are 10 years old or younger who have graphic communication (for example, photographs, drawings, Blissymbols, PIC, traditional orthography) as their main form of communication. The study covers all such children in three Norwegian counties, comprising a population of 1.1 million people.
