Abstract

In this report, we present the case of a patient suffering from recurrent acute pyelonephritis and who had a hypertrophic right kidney following left nephrectomy. 99mTc-dimercaptosuccinic acid (DMSA) scan is known to be of value in the diagnosis of pyelonephritis, based on the detection of parenchymal abnormalities.
