Abstract
The present case report concerns a 70-year-old man who developed an infection after endovascular abdominal aortic repair. For treatment, we performed open surgical debridement with abscess drainage while preserving the aortic stent graft, followed by omental packing between the aneurysm sac and the stent graft, together with continuous negative-pressure irrigation and drainage of the purulent cavity. At the 10-month postoperative follow-up, abdominal aortic computed tomography angiography demonstrated satisfactory abscess removal and vascular reconstruction recovery. This innovative graft-preserving strategy for managing stent-graft infection achieved favorable short-term outcomes in this patient, suggesting its potential for consideration in clinical practice.
