The polyesters from aliphatic diacids with long chains (azelaic acid, undecanedioic acid, and tridecanedioic acid) have better crystallization ability and good toughness (elongation at break &gt; 300%). Abstract

1,4-Cyclohexanedimethanol-based polyesters were synthesized from 1,4-cyclohexanedimethanol (CHDM) and a variety of aliphatic diacids with odd carbons. Differential scanning calorimetric analyzer (DSC), wide angle X-ray diffraction (WXRD), thermogravimetric analyzer (TGA), universal testing machine, dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA), and rotational rheometer were used for the characterization.
