Abstract
The paper is concerned with the synthesis, determination of structural features, electrical conductivity, and pigment characteristics of cation-deficient scheelite-type Ca1 − 1.5x – yBix + yΦ0.5xMo1– yVyO4 (where Φ stands for a vacancy) solid solutions. The prepared complex oxides were studied by X-ray powder diffraction and Raman spectroscopy. The concentration ranges of existence were determined for phases with differently ordered arrangement of elements in the calcium sublattice. The total electrical conductivity of the compounds was studied by impedance spectroscopy in the temperature range 400–650°C. Electrical conductivity versus inverse temperature Arrhenius plots were constructed and analyzed. The color coordinates of the solid solutions were calculated from diffuse light scattering data of powders.
