Abstract

Mixed-valence {CoIII-CoII-CoIII}-cluster is synthesized for the first time and characterized in the crystalline phase by single crystal X-ray diffraction, IR spectroscopy, HR-ESI mass spectroscopy, and thermogravimetric analysis. The cluster is stabilized by two molecules of bischelating N2O2-donor macrocyclic Schiff base supported by the 1,3-disubstituted calix[4]arene platform together with two μ–η11 acetate and two μ2-methylate bridging groups.
