Abstract

A mixture of sodium salts of fatty acids is synthesized in the form of a 20% solution via the alkaline hydrolysis of triglyceride components of hemp oil. IR spectroscopy data confirm the complete hydrolysis of ester groups and the presence of carboxylate groups characteristic of sodium salts of fatty acids.
