The newly synthesized compounds were characterized by means of elemental analysis, IR and 1H NMR spectroscopy, and their structures were further confirmed by X-ray single crystal determination. Abstract
Reaction of 2-chlorobenzaldehyde with 3-trifluoromethylbenzohydrazide, 3,5-dimethoxybenzohydrazide, 4-trifluoromethylbenzohydrazide and 2-bromobenzohydrazide, respectively, in methanol afforded four new aroylhydrazones.
